An awesome surprise
Olivier Glod
What a brilliant weekend! I'm still sick (got a big, fat flue), but I don't mind. Just spent a marathon session editing the wedding I shot two days ago, and which I was unaware of I would be doing until a week and two days ago ;-)
On Friday, June 27th 2014, I'm sat at the office, working hard and receive this message from a former colleague of mine asking me if I would be interested in shooting her wedding... in a week! My heart just skipped a beat right then and there. Just as a little background info: said former colleague, Pascale, is by far the craziest, loveliest and most amazing broad I ever had the honour of meeting (and I mean that in the most positive, respectful and endearing way possible, she's just plain rock 'n roll!), so after checking my schedule and making a few necessary arrangements I happily accepted.
So, it's the fourth of July (happy ID to our American friends!) and I'm at the town hall in Hesperange half an hour early, running on nasal spray and Paracetamol, trying to fight off the flue I picked up at the Iron Maiden concert last Tuesday (which, btw., was absolutely brilliant!). Yup, definitely not feeling 100%, but that changes as soon as the groom and bride arrive. The adrenaline kicks in and I'm having a fantastic time. Those two hours just flew by!
Here's a couple of those shots I quite like. Hope you enjoy them as well :-)
Pascale and Georges, thanks again for giving me the opportunity to capture and share this amazing event. Wishing you guys a lifetime of never-ending happiness!
Cheers,
your friend Oli :-)
